U.S. Babu Rau

U S Babu Rau was founded on 30th March, 1949 in Kannur as the distributer of Ciba Dyes Ltd, Bombay, for the south Canara and north Malabar region. It was the brainchild of Sri U S Babu Rau, who was a visionary with an innate interest in business. The overwhelming popularity of the business incited the company to open three more branches in Udupi, Udyavara and Manipal in the following years. As time passed we ventured into new arenas like Laminated Floorings and Wallpapers etc.

After 63 years of existence as a premier business house in the West Coast, the company has made its presence felt in Plywood & Laminates and Veneers. Now it is managed by the fourth generation member of his family. To take the company to greater heights the management is looking for expanding the business in new areas. At present they are also into the distribution of raw materials used for interiors of commercial and residential establishments.

U S Babu Rau has garnered the respect of many through transparent dealing, authentic quality products, and superb services. At present the company has its headquarter and warehouses in Hampanakatta, Mangalore. This year the company opened a showroom in Manipal to serve the growing market of Udupi and Manipal.
